History of the Queen Memorial Building

In 2017, Henry and several partners were presented with the Grand Jury Award by the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia for their work in renovating and restoring the Queen Memorial Building, where Henry’s office is located.

The Queen Memorial Building is a former library and fellowship hall and sits adjacent to the Hope Presbyterian Church in Grays Ferry. The library was built in 1896 and contained a 1200-seat auditorium, meeting rooms, a gymnasium and a large library. The Queen Memorial Building has now been developed into a home for a diverse group of artists and professionals. There are individual artists studios, a co-working space for theatrical designers, a computer lab and a large sculpture studio. The historical location and neighborhood atmosphere provides clients with a welcoming environment to meet and discuss various needs.
